We are glad you are here.

We’re excited that you’ve shown interest in visiting our church. We want to share a little information that will make your first trip to Christ Church Easton the best that it can be.

What times are weekend services? Are the services different?

    SUMMER WORSHIP SCHEDULE

From Memorial Day to Labor Day our weekend worship schedule changes. Instead of a 9:15am contemporary music service and an 11:00am traditional music service, we move to a 10:00am Sunday worship service, which alternates between contemporary and traditional music every other week.

    Wednesdays at 10:00am
    In-Person Healing Service with Communion

    Saturdays at 5:00pm
Alive @ 5 Contemporary Music Service with Communion

    Sundays at 8:00am
    In-Person Worship Service (Rite I)

    Sundays at 10:00am
Contemporary or Traditional Music Service with Communion
(Child care and Children’s Church available)
(one Sunday traditional music, the next Sunday contemporary music, throughout the summer)

Nursery and Children’s Church are available for all children up to the age of 10 at the 10:00am service over the summer and at the 9:15am and 11:00am service throughout the rest of the year.

Where can I register for small groups (like Alpha) at Christ Church?

Click this link to see which groups are currently open for new registrations!

Is Nursery or Childcare available? Or are my children welcome in the worship services?

We love children here at Christ Church, and as you will see, we have plenty of them! Your children are welcome in any of the services, or you may bring them to the Nursery or Children’s Church at the 10:00am service over the summer or the 9:15am and 11:00am service throughout the rest of the year

    Where do I park?

There is ample parking on the streets around Christ Church. There are two handicap ramps: one on South Street in front of the church, and one on Harrison Street beside the church.

How do the people of Christ Church dress to come to worship?

By and large, the people of Christ Church dress comfortably to come to worship from casual to business casual. Some people dress up to come to church, but everyone seems comfortable to let others dress as they wish.

I don't know when to sit, stand or kneel.

First of all, relax and don’t worry about what you’re “supposed” to do. The service order, or “script” for the service, is on the screen or passed out when you come into the services. Everything you need to know–from the songs, to the readings from the Bible, to the words we say aloud–will be there for you. At Christ Church, we respect a variety of worship practices and customs. During the service, some people may make the sign of the cross or bow at various points, while others do not. You should do what is comfortable for you. There are a number of practices that are common at Christ Church:

    • Generally, people stand to sing songs, while the Gospel is read, and for the post-communion prayer, blessing and dismissal. We sit for the sermon and during anthems that are sung by the featured musicians. We sometimes kneel (as we are able) to pray.
    • During Communion, some people will remain standing while others elect to kneel or sit.
    • We have a time when we “Pass the Peace” during the service.  Most people move around to exchange signs of Peace with those who are nearby, shaking hands and greeting each other in whatever way is comfortable for them.
Is it okay for guests to receive communion?

All who seek God and are drawn to Christ are most welcome to receive the bread and wine of Holy Communion. Alternatively, you are invited to come forward for a blessing. Just cross your hands over your chest and you will receive a Blessing.
