Stephen Ministry is a distinctively Christian caregiving ministry which increases the amount of caring pastoral attention Christ Church is able to provide to the congregation and community.

Stephen Ministers are members of our church trained to provide emotional and spiritual support to people who are hurting. They are trained to listen, care, encourage, pray, and walk alongside people during difficult times.  Stephen Ministers receive 50 hours of initial training and ongoing continuing education.  They also meet in a peer supervision group every month for support.

This ministry is confidential and free. If you are interested in knowing more about becoming a Stephen Minister or if you feel you might benefit from the services of a Stephen Minister, contact the church office at 410-822-2677 or email Catherine Murphy.
